this poor little blog...

I'm just going to come out and say it.  I suck at writing a blog.  It's like the cabbage plant in our back yard...I don't want to water it, but I also don't want to neglect it in case it grows in to something beautiful (or edible).  I forget to write about every day happenings, and when I do have time to sit down and write, I have nothing to say.  I know I'll love to look back at it in years to come, but I just get so caught up in the moment that I don't want to pause to write things down.  So, I'll post his stats and some pictures, and maybe one day I'll fill in the gaps and tell you what really went on.  But for now, this will have to do because we're having too much fun playing.

Four month check up:
This months stats:

4 Month:  15lbs, 2 oz 24.25"

In August I started back to work full time.  Jackson stays with Ms. Paula three days a week (Mon-Wed) at her house, and then I'm home on Thurs/Fri with him, and Daddy is there on Sat/Sun.  He is currently the only baby at Paula's home, however she does have six year old twins, Wyatt & Lila, that have become his little buddies.  Paula has been a blessing for us as Jackson has been taken in as one of her own during the three days she has him.  He goes everywhere with her and the twins and has captured the heart of her entire family - husband and older son as well.

Stacey and Ryan were married over Labor Day Weekend, and Jackson was quite the stud in his 3-piece suit & tie (until he spit all over it and had to have a change of clothes).  It was a beautiful ceremony and the attention to detail was immaculate with the "Under the Sea" theme.

Here are a few videos of Jackson-- he now rolls over both directions and LOVES the dogs.  He is starting to reach for them to "pet" them.  He also loves his exersaucer, bouncing around and hitting the buttons.  "A is for Apple.  The Apple is Red". .... so.annoying.

This past week, we went to the Southern Women's Show with his buddy Dylan and mom, Tara.  The boys stole the show...everyone loved seeing the boys together and even commented on how Tara and I must have "planned" to have our boys at the same time since we were such great friends.  Too funny, since we just met in maternity class at the hospital this past spring.  Just a complete coincidence that I hit it off with someone in our class and we both had boys (and since it was a maternity class, of course they were born around the same time).  It was a good time and we can't wait to get the boys together again soon...especially since now they are starting to realize the other one is a little human also and try to reach for each other.  One day, they will have a video that is as cute as this one.

That's it for now!!!  Stay tuned for a big update next month.  If I remember to post :)
